Based in York (UK) working as a full time lecturer in Computer Science/Digital Technologies (since 2002 - prior to that, seven years in the IT industry) and I spend much of my spare time making music.
My part-time business was established 1993, offering budget audio production services such as live recording of conference/training events, sound effects for amateur theatre groups, recording bands/choirs and live sound engineering for concerts, shows and training events. I have also advised small theatre groups on sound and lighting installations (as well as designing and constructing the sound and lighting booth for Stamford Bridge Players).
With over 30 years semi-professional experience I am able to provide services to small groups and organisations who otherwise wouldn't have the funds to pay for studio time and full-time engineers/presenters/musicians to produce material such as voice-overs, copyright free background music, training podcasts etc.
In 1992/93 I recorded and produced two demo tapes for the York band Quark and in 2002 remastered them to CD (from the original 4-track reel-to-reel tapes) titled Everything Louder Than Everything Else. This is now available as free download from here along with sleeve notes and artwork.
Between 2020 and 2022 I recorded and produced the first album of original material for York band PIG IRON. This is available as a CD, on all major streaming sites and on the band's YouTube channel where you can listen to all tracks for free.
