Roc na Seann Sgoile (Rock of the Old School)
After 20 years of playing classic hard rock and heavy metal covers we decided to use our enforced time off during the lock-down of 2020 to start writing some original material. Using an application called Jamulus we were able to play together via the Internet and develop the songs into full demo versions. As lock down eased we started to record properly.
Pete converted his recordings of our jam sessions into a high quality drum tracks which Rich then uploaded to a 24-track digital recorder before adding the bass-line and a guide track (rough guitar and vocals). Finally Rich and Neil met up at their usual rehearsal room to record Neil's guitar and their vocals all of which Rich then mixed and mastered at home.
We hope you enjoy listening to the songs as much as we've enjoyed producing them. We have released a few bonus tracks on SoundCloud including early demo versions of Betrayer! and Cut and Run, while our YouTube channel includes a couple of promo videos.
Angels of Iron (released in November 2021) and Never too Late (released in June 2022) are available as singles on the usual download and streaming sites, with full CD release of all 12 tracks on 25th June 2022 (now sold out).
All 12 tracks are available on all the main streaming and download sites too.
